 Bar Mitzvah Celebration

We celebrated our oldest son's Bar Mitzvah on 2-15-2009! It was a dynamic and fun time for all!

Bar Mitzvah Celebration

 What time is it?

Is this information important to you?

From the beginning Yahweh placed the sun and the moon in the sky for us to reckon the moedim (festivals). We are to celebrate the New Moon of each month by sanctifying it. How and Why? The answer to how is simply watch for the first sliver of the new moon each month and blow the shofar to anounce it. Then we pray the traditional hebrew prayers and rejoice under the stars. The Why is even more simple. Because YAHWEH said to do this! The modern calendar is based on the sun without taking into consideration the moon. The hebrew scriptural calendar, on the other hand, uses both the sun and the moon to govern it's cycles. We as believers in Y'Shua and followers of Yahweh must re-adjust our line of thinking to the calendar of Yahweh. More on this subject can be found in the "Teachings" section of this site. Or you can go to my blog and post a comment.

Bayith HaTorah Teachings

Why use The Father's name?

This is the Father's name in the hebrew letters. YHVH - read from right to left. We pronounce it YAHWEH.

In the original hebrew scriptures the name of the Father is used over 7,000 times! So where is it in your bible? It was replaced with the indistinct title"GOD." If you look thru the passages of scripture, you will find three different types of cover-up for YHVH.

  • GOD - all caps - always a replacement for YHVH- YAHWEH
  • LORD - all caps - always a replacement for YHVH -YAHWEH
  • God - 1st letter cap - usually Adonai - Master
  • lord - all lower case - usually refers to pagan god, sometimes master

This system is only used in the hebrew scriptures known as the old testament. In the Brit Hadashah(new testament) there is no distinction made between the Father and the Son. This is because there were many Kurios - greek lords and Theos - greek Gods at the time of the writing of the books. Therefore, the translators simply used what was familar to the people. Let's return to the true name of the Father and His Son. Yahweh and Yahshua. See a detailed teaching on this subject in the "Teaching" section of this site.

The Moedim of Yahweh!

Let us always keep the Feast of YHVH...

Bayith HaTorah and the Assembly here had a wonderful Pesach celebration. In obeying the Torah requirement to come together and have a sedar meal,we enjoyed an all night evening of food, fun and fellowship. Moreh Barry and Minister Latesia conducted our Pesach Sedar and the evening was off to a great start. It is a pleasure to obey the Word of Torah and to have like minded people come together in the name of Yahweh thru the blood of YahShua. View our Assembly Photos page for a look at some of the pictures taken on this outstanding night.               Assembly Photos

The Celebration of Yom Teruah!

As we continue in obedience to the Torah of YHVH, we celebrated the Feast of Trumpets, Yom Teruah and had a wonderful time. Our congregation came together on the evening of the feast and stayed together all night watching for the return of our promised Messiah, Yahushua. We enjoyed great Torah study and also engaged in role play discussions. It was a great celebration. As we study the scriptures, we realize that the Messiah will redeem his bride on Yom Teruah and we will be presented to the Father in the heavens. After which, we will return to the earth with the bridegroom to establish the Kingdom of the Most High. What an awesome picture of the divine plan of YHVH. For more on the celebration of Yom Teruah, please visit the Bayith HaTorah Teachings section.

Blow the Trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on my Holy mountain...

Teshuvah! A time of Repentance!

The sixth Hebrew month has been set aside as a time to do Teshuvah! Teshuvah means return but not necessarily back to the starting point. It is to return to YHVH and His Torah. From the first of the sixth Hebrew month until the Day of Atonement, we do Teshuvah which is callled "The Days of Awe". It has always been the intent of the Most High to cause His people to return to Him and serve Him in Spirit and in Truth. Teshuvah gives us all that opportunity. Prior to the Day of Atonement when it will be too late. Contrary to the popular believe that the Messiah is atoning for us daily at every moment, there is a set-apart time for the covering of our sins, which is the time of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). Before the Day of Atonement we can restore broken relationships, repent for our transgressions and receive the Atoning of the blood of the Lamb.

Visit our Bayith HaTorah Teachings section for more on the meaning of Teshuvah...

We had a Great Shavuot Celebration!!!

We have obeyed the commandment found in Leviticus 23:15:

And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven sabbaths shall be complete: The weekly sabbath after Pesach begins a 50 day count to Shavuot (Pentecost). We are counting, which means to declare, publish, number and proclaim, the goodness of Yahweh for the scriptures command us to do so. Please visit our ustream video library to see an excellent teaching on the meaning of "Counting the Omer."    www.ustream.tv/bayithhatorah

Shavuot The Feast of Pentecost

As we prepare our minds and lives to receive of the Torah afresh in our hearts, we look forward to the celebration of Shavuot. The hebrew name for what is known as the day of Pentecost. Shavuot, as with most of the set apart feast of Yisrael, is centered around the harvest times in Yisrael.  It is known by many different names such as:

*The Feast of Weeks

*The day of the giving of Torah

*The Bethrotal of YHVH to Yisrael and many more

Each name represents a different aspect of the festival. We will celebrate this diverse Feast this year on 15th day of the sixth month.  Plese visit our teaching page for more on this wonderful Celebration.
